Frequently Asked Questions

Where are courses held?

We provide training at both Public and Private venues. When making a booking you will get to pick the location that suits you or your staff members. We will come to you and train onsite. Talk to us about out of hours training to suit your workplace.

Can you register NZQA standards?

We don’t currently see the value in this for employers. The courses are four hours in duration and cover all topics required for workplace first aid whether that be in aged care, factories, shops or the electrical industry.

What are the methods of payment?

We will send out an invoice to organisations after the course.

How long are the first aid certificates valid for?

Certificates are valid for two years. You are allotted a 3-month grace from the date of your certificate expiry, during which time you must complete your Re-Certification course to maintain your qualification.

I need to do my re-certification course. Can I complete that with you if my original course was with a different provider?

Absolutely!

How many trained first aiders do I need in my workplace?

How many trained first aiders you need will depend upon the hazards in your workplace, the number and location of employees and how close you are to medical services. Think about how to ensure first aid cover is provided on all shifts, and when some of your first aiders are on planned or unplanned absences. As an example, an aged care facility has to have at least one trained first aider on each shift and for taking residents on outings.
